One of the original churches dating back to the gold rush can be found in a beautiful garden in a quiet corner of Gold Reef City Theme Park. This quaint chapel boasts the original organ, altar, pews and stained glass windows, making every wedding something to remember forever. Couples arrive in a stately horse-drawn carriage at the start of the ceremony and can opt to continue with the grandeur by having the reception at one of the beautifully decorated function rooms at the nearby hotel. With the ability to comfortably seat up to 900 guests or delegates, the Hippodrome is the ideal venue to hire for shows, functions, award ceremonies and the like. In the past it has successfully hosted a variety of international shows from Barney and Friends to Xtreme Wheels as well as many local events.
