Lighting

Our operating equipment has been selected from the finest manufacturers around the world. Comfort has also been a priority as we have chosen the aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically designed La Salle chair as the standard for our dining areas. These chairs have been upholstered in stylish imported chenille fabric. Our imported oval tables bring a refreshing new look to our room layouts and will be dressed in heavyweight damask linen napery.

We have chosen a combination of WMF and SPRING buffet ware. WMF is the premier manufacturer of stainless steel ware in Germany. These pieces of equipment are both visually delightful and have been crafted to absolute perfection.

We have selected SCHOTT ZWIESEL glassware, DUDSON's classic ranges of fine crockery and the IMPULSE cutlery range in the Conference centre.

Lighting

Lighting is provided by low voltage down lighters in the ceiling as well as chandeliers and wall sconces. These are all controlled by an I-Light system which allows preset settings for easy push button control. There are control panels for the system in each of the divisions of the room, and an infra-red remote control is also available.

In addition, four dimmable circuits controlled by the same system terminate as twelve outlets in the ceiling. These can be used to feed additional lighting which can conveniently be hung on the 50mm diameter hanging grid installed just below the ceiling. This grid can support point loads of up to 50kg below hanging points and 25kg between points. Eight Strand SL profile spotlights can be supplied for lighting podiums and banners as needed from this grid structure.

The I-Light system can be driven by a DMX512 signal if so desired for a particular event. The stage is equipped with twenty-four Strand Act 6 digital 13 A dimmers controlled by a Compulite Rave control desk which can control both Conferenceal and 'intelligent' fixtures. The dimmers feed outlets above the stage and in the auditorium through a patch system using 15A BS plugs. The power for the dimmers is also available through a 63A three phase CEE17 outlet for users who prefer to use their own dimming system. This outlet is situated on stage left below the house dimmers. Should more power be needed, there is also a 32A three phase CEE17 outlet at the distribution board upstage left.

Two six way 'ParBars' with silver PAR64 units (all fitted with CP62 lamps) are supplied for easy front of house rigging; each bar is supplied with a 4m multicore which plugs into a socapex outlet in the ceiling. These lamps are rigged as needed on the hanging grid.

Over the stage, there are three lighting bars each with twelve outlets supplied from the patch panel. Twenty-four PAR64 units (all with EXG lamps) are available as needed.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THE ROOM IS SPLIT, QUANTITIES ON ALL EQUIPMENT MAY VARY DEPENDING ON OCCUPANCY AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE REST OF THE SPACE.

Sound

State of the art sound system available at a charge. 32a Three phase CEE 17 outlet to accommodate high volume technical equipment at no charge. There is no permanent sound equipment supplied, but a dedicated power source - with independent earth - can be found on the stage downstage right. This terminates as a 32A three phase CEE 17 outlet.

Stage

In addition to the main stage area, there are twelve 1.2m x 2.4m rostra which can be assembled as needed. Each unit can be set at 150, 300, 600 or 900mm high and there are two sets of access stairs to accommodate each height. Black skirts to mask the sides are also available. All rostra are painted matt black, as is the stage floor.

On the stage itself, there are two sets of black velvet legs and borders (fixed) as well as a rear traverse in the same material. The traverse is operated with a hand winch.

The stage can be blocked off from the main room either with a curtain (which is motorised and moves vertically) or by acoustic wall panels, which slide into the proscenium opening
